element14 kicks off the new year with key improvements for e-commerce customers in Asia Pacific
Leading electronic components distributor in the Asia Pacific, element14 Limited (formerly Farnell) has introduced key improvements to online search functions and product pages on its element14 websites.
The improvements including redesigned search and product pages simplify and facilitate increased speed in the design processes of engineers, who can now sort relevant product attributes quickly according to their search preferences as minimum and maximum range selectors in the parametric filters.
Legislation, environment and compliance information is accessible from one section while videos can be viewed directly from the product page. A new ‘Share this Page’ function allows customers to share content through a number of social media methods.
According to Devashish Saxena, SVP, Regional Marketing Director APAC, element14, the past year has shown that their core offerings such as best-in-class selections of products and unique service propositions are the roadmap to success, adding that the company will continue to strengthen these propositions in 2012.
These improvements are part of element14’s continuous efforts in website optimisation and social media marketing, which yielded excellent results in 2011 including a No.1 ranking in the Heardable ‘Online Brand Benchmark Report: 30 Leading Brands in the Electronics Industry’, attributed to its search engine optimisation, mobile browsing as well as monitoring and optimisation using web analytics software.
The past year also saw the launch of element14’s new online catalogue, ‘element14 Features’, which provides detailed information and showcases the best new products and solutions, along with relevant articles and training modules.
Additionally, element14’s Global eCommerce and Social Marketing team is led from its Asia office in Singapore, strengthening its focus to support electronic design engineering and maintenance, repair and operations in the region.
element14's warehouses in Singapore, China, India and Australia are able to store about 400,000 SKUs, providing customers with one of the widest selections of high performance components from leading brands. Fast delivery is ensured by incorporating advanced supply chain facilities at these warehouses.
