SICK introduces IN3000 Direct inductive safety switches with cylindrical construction
Available in two cylindrical versions and two OSSD safety capable outputs with approval for performance level d, the new inductive safety switches are designed as safe position monitoring solutions.
Particularly suitable for use in harsh environments, inductive safety switches detect the presence or absence of metal, recognising whether the machine components are in a safe position or have already moved beyond it.
The non-contact design of inductive safety switches eliminates problems of wear with minimal requirement for maintenance when compared to electro-mechanical position switches.
The reliable IN3000 Direct inductive safety switches are also designed for easy integration and fast response.
Available in small and robust M12 and M18 cylinder housings with 4-pin M12 plug connectors, the switches offer flush and non-flush mounting positions, and are suited for operating distances up to 8mm. LEDs visualise the sensor status, allowing quick functional diagnosis on location.
IN3000 Direct inductive safety switches offer fast response time, outputting direct signals in less than a millisecond to a safety controller by means of the two OSSD switching outputs, thus stopping dangerous machine movements.
